tools much?

So I love my Tim Holtz Distress Tool to bits!  I use the crap out of them and dull them out constantly, but I LOVE that tool!! So today I tried the Zutter “Distress It All” to make this cute mini book out of corrugated cardboard:

How oh how will I justify ONE more tool to my husband??  I’m sure I’ll find a way!!!

Kelli and I took a Tattered Angels class today and it was so informative! I feel so much more confident using that product and all the other shimmer sprays out there now! I have a collection I’ve yet to use!  Here’s some pictures of Heidi Swapp (AMAZING new colors!!!) making stuff:

Along with Heidi’s new colors, and products Tattered Angels has also releases Chalk Mists that are a paint based shimmer spray, very opaque and brilliant! The new Shimmer Glazes and Glimmer Glams are  brushable mediums that still have the amazing shimmer effect, but they work on non-porous surfaces!!!! So cool right?? I am finalizing the order tonight and dropping it off in the morning!

The Donna Downey Canvas Books, Iron Ons, and accessories are super cool! (Kelli and I made one today, and once finalized, the sample will be at the store).  We re-ordered all the new {e.} bling and flowers, just as amazing as the first round! 

Alright I think that’s all I can handle today, but for all of you who heard Teresa Collins is no longer with Zutter, this is true, but her new lines are AMAZING! I placed an order for the store and I can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on everything!!  So how’s that for inspiration, right?

Lots of great shopping for the store done today!  I am so excited for boxes to start coming in!!!! Here’s some pictures of layouts from Little Yellow Bicycle (which I LOVED):

So far, Little Yellow Bicycle, Bo-Bunny, and Basic Grey have been my favorite!!! I’ll share more later pictures later, I am exhausted and want to snuggle up in my warm bed!!

crafty girl!

Wow only one day of CHA sown, and I’m so excited!! My camera battery died, so I will post project pictures as soon as I can.

Creative Imaginations had very cute make and takes and I am so excited about their glimmer sprays, the colors are super vibrant and they even have paint dabbers with glitz and mica!!  They are beautiful!!  Plus great new paper lines with vibrant, rich, fun colors!!!  Oh and new papers to expand the “Star Wars” collection!

SEI has great product lines that I think everyone will absolutely adore!! 

Imaginisce has added some great additions to their I-top tool!  In addition to being able to make custom brads, we will now be able to make buttons, magnets, and badge buttons!!! Oh and remember those adorable penguins from the last Summer line??  The new “Splash Dance” line has the cutest little octopus ever!!!

What else? What else?  Tomorrow will be filled with tons of walking, ordering (the best part of my job), make and takes, and hopefully lots of laughter!!!  

Oh! I did see Tim Holtz from afar, so I didn’t get to take my annual picture with him, but I will! Snuck a peek at his Sizzix die-cuts and I can’t wait to get me some!!!

searching the internet for inspiration!! i feel like this week has already wiped me out!! it’s been busy at work, but am hoping to get some layouts done on friday!!! really hoping!!!

Mini Book…

I made this Bo-Bunny Board Book using one of adorable Nikki Sivils  line.  I LOVE these books (especially when I’m making gifts) because they come together so fast, and the size (6x6) is perfect to get the most out of your paper!  This little book is a gift for some friends who just bought their first home.   I’m mailing it out tomorrow today and hope they like it!  The inside cover that says “welcome home” will have a blessing on it as soon as I find one I like.

            

This is the first time working with this line, when I purchased the Nikki Sivils lines for the store I thought it was adorable and I couldn’t wait to play with it, and am glad I finally had the chance! The paper is great quality, and the embellishments are the paper!  I recommend it highly!

Oh and here is my new toy!!

It’s a PINK Fuji Instax 7s!! I picked up film today and I am in LOVE! I The best quality instant photo!  The photos are the size of a credit card and I think they are gonna be so cute in a scrapbook!  I went to Samy’s Camera to pick up the film and saw the wide format Instax and I am almost positive I will be picking it up this week!!!  I’m a sucker for instant film!

Well, I hope your Monday was great!  I hope the inspiration bug bites me this week and I get a lot more done! Wish me luck!

day off

today is my only day off this week, and another work week starts tomorrow already.  we had a family kickball game today, and it was so much fun and exhausting, but i totally forgot my camera! 

last night i finished a little mini book for a dear friend that just bought a home, i'll post pictures later. 

now i'm off to make potato salad and cozy up for movie night! i LOVE days like today. i'm so grateful so an able body and the spirit to enjoy my life! thank you lord! <3

Finally....

I've decided to choose a word for 2010 thanks to Ali !  I did this last year, but felt like I lost it along the year, although for a half-assed attempt I think I did good enough.  2009's word was "breathe."  I learned to listen to my thoughts, my heart, my body, and let negativity go! I always feel better about myself and my sanity when I don't hold on to the trivial stuff.

My word for 2010 is "strive."  I will strive to be a better person, friend, wife, daughter, crafter, just strive to do the best may come my way, and try not to stress!   I love this concept. 

One of my goals for 2010 was to do more scrapping, and this is what I've come up with so far using a kit from the store:

I am really happy with the pages! Not the best stuff I've ever done, but felt good doing something that truly reflected me!  Old pictures, but hey, they're finally on a page!!

So I hope everyone's 2010 is off to an amazing start!!
